Terry Miller, Founder and Director of Bōwdee, started in the Industrial sector, over 15 years ago, designing and selling industrial equipment. After finishing a Master’s Degree in Data Science at Northwestern, he executed a number of individual Machine Learning projects, most notably, training ML algorithms to evaluate the relationship between a 6-axis industrial robot’s path and premature servo motor wear per axis.
Building on the learnings from prior hands-on projects, he held various leadership roles in the Industrial ML/AI space. Most recently, he built, from the ground up, a gold-standard data science organization for Johnson Controls, a Fortune 200 company, winning the 2023 Chairman’s Award (highest intra-company award) for the team’s work in customer retention. Terry speaks globally, and writes, on topics specific to the monetization of applied AI in the enterprise.
